Legacy helps you make every day as extraordinary as you want it to be. What inspires you? What have you always thought about doing but never got around to doing?
It is time to seek new experiences, rediscover past hobbies and passions, refresh, and renew. Legacy’s signature Living Very Well program offers opportunities, activities, and events designed to promote well-being on multiple dimensions: physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, creative, social, and vocational.
Try your hand at painting or woodworking, sing your heart out with your neighbors in the choir, put on your dancing shoes for an evening dinner dance, or jump on the Legacy bus with friends and head to Finger Lakes Wine Country for a wine tasting. …And the opportunities don’t stop there. Tempt your taste buds with a cooking demonstration in the dining room, broaden your knowledge of the Seneca Indians at an Historic Presentation Series lecture, join local high school students in a volunteer program to feed those less fortunate, get more familiar with the Internet and technology and learn how to email your grandchildren, rejuvenate your soul at a prayer service, or attend an AARP Safe Driver Program class. With so much to choose from, you can design your life, your way, every day.
The Legacy’s longstanding commitment to creating a meaningful, engaging, and rewarding lifestyle, where Living Very Well is just outside your door, is the heart and soul of our mission. Every Legacy senior living community has a full-time Lifestyle Director, and some locations have Assistant Lifestyle Directors, too.
We work closely with our Living Very Well Advisory Board, which is made up of respected Rochester, New York thought leaders with such diverse roles as college president, CEO, executive director, creative director, museum president, psychologist, rabbi, and bishop to continue to enhance and expand our programming. But input from our residents is indispensable. Each Legacy retirement community’s Living Very Well program offerings are custom tailored to its residents. We actively seek new ideas and create new opportunities and activities based on resident-initiated ideas.
The results are readily apparent in our vibrant communities, and time and time again, adult children and family members of our residents tell us the pleasure they feel in seeing mom and dad the most active they have been in years.
