Steve’s Bio: Steve began working for Mark IV Construction Company at a young age and learned very early that dedication and patience are key ingredients to success. He learned every aspect of the the business from the ground up working with all construction trades. He attended Hobart & William Smith Colleges for his undergraduate degree and then managed the construction activity of numerous large developments from land acquisition to final certificate of occupancy. Steven then helped his organization staff these developments. Attending The University of Rochester, Simon School of Business where he earned his Masters degree in Business Administration. Steven managed the construction of all Legacy communities and remains an integral part of both new acquisitions, development and operations of The Legacy Communities as we know them today. With close communication from his father Anthony DiMarzo, founder and his brother Chris in charge of new development approvals and a phenomanally dedicated and well versed staff within each Legacy Community The Legacy Communities are positioned for success.
LEGACY AT CLOVER BLOSSOM — BRIGHTON, NEW YORK — ELIZABETH M RICHARDSON
Elizabeth M Richardson is the Executive Director of Legacy Clover Blossom in Brighton. Liz joined the Legacy team three years ago as Director of Legacy at Willow Pond and made the move to Clover Blossom in April 2013. She is a 1985 graduate of the State University of New York College at New Paltz were she earned a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Political Science.
LEGACY AT ERIE STATION — HENRIETTA, NEW YORK — PAUL J RYAN
Paul J Ryan is a staunch advocate for seniors. An Executive Director with Legacy since 2009, he embarked on this career change in 2004. Prior to that Paul served the Diocese of Rochester in creative ministries for 34 years. During his career, Paul worked in parish ministry throughout the diocese. He was a teacher/chaplain at Keuka, Elmira, and Wells Colleges. He also helped to develop the group home concept with the New York State office for the developmentally challenged. He served the Latin and South American Missions, working with indigenous people in Mexico, Chile and Brazil. In Mexico he directed the creation of self-sustaining coops, allowing the people to develop their own small businesses. Paul received his BA degree from St. John Fisher, and his M.Div. from St. Bernard’s Seminary. Paul is a nationally recognized actor/model. He is also a master scuba diver trainer and published author.
Rich Stewart thrives on serving the residents of Legacy as an Executive Director. His hospitality focus celebrates the Legacy Lifestyle and our flows through every aspect of the community. His focus on the well being of the residents and community he manages centers him on the most popular activities of wellness, education and safety. While his tenure at The Legacy at Village Wood community is new Rich Stewart has been an integral part of The Legacy Independent Senior Living Community for over 7 years where he served as Executive Director.

LEGACY AT CRANBERRY LANDING — IRONDEQUOIT, NEW YORK — JENNIFER LAFOUNTAIN
Jennifer LaFountain has an extensive background in the gerontology field. She is new to the Legacy team and has assumed the roll of Executive Director at The Legacy at Cranberry Landing. Jennifer has extensive background in senior living working in multiple capacities from activities to social work. She has been a social worker with different populations, seniors being her favorite.
LEGACY AT PARK CRESCENT — GREECE, NEW YORK — ELAINE MATTHEWS
Elaine Matthews is the Executive Director of Legacy Park Crescent in Greece. Elaine joined the Legacy team in July of 2011 and hit the ground running. Prior to becoming part of the Legacy family, Elaine was the Director for Service for Seniors in Rochester for 10 years. A 1991 graduate of The City University of New York, John Jay College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and in 2010 a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
LEGACY AT FAIRWAYS — VICTOR, NEW YORK — ANNA ALGER
Anna joined The Legacy Senior Communities in 2007 as Executive Director of the Legacy at The Fairways. Anna holds a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, and has more than 17 years experience in the hospitality and senior living development, management, and marketing. Before joining Legacy Senior Communities, Anna was recruited by Thompson Health systems to be part of the pre-opening team of their premier Senior Living Community, where she developed and managed the Resident Services, Transportation, and Lifestyle Programs for that new community. Anna developed many Marketing events, and was an integral member of the Marketing Team. In 2005, Anna was elected as a member of the Task Force for Greystone Senior Living Communities where she led Senior Communities across the United States to improve Lifestyle Programs and develop Health and Wellness initiatives to promote Healthy Aging. Anna is also a Certified Aging Service Professional through the Collation for Leadership on Aging Services which she achieved in 2012.
LEGACY AT WILLOW POND – PENFIELD, NEW YORK — SONDRA YOUNG
Sondra Young is the Executive Director of Legacy at Willow Pond in Penfield New York. Sondra has an extensive background in real estate and property management. Over the past eight years she has focused on senior housing, managing an independent senior community in Troy, New York before joining the Legacy in March 2013. Sondra earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Empire State College and an Associates Degree from Ulster County Community College. Sondra is a member of IREM and received her ARM designation in 2011. She also earned the LIHTC certification in 2007. She is an active member of the Penfield Business Association and the Penfield Chamber of Commerce. She is a former member of Capital District Senior Housing Options Providers and the Rensselaer County Chamber of Commerce.
