Steve DiMarzo began working for Mark IV Construction Company at a young age and learned very early that dedication and patience are key ingredients to success. He learned every aspect of the business from the ground up working with all construction trades. He attended Hobart & William Smith Colleges for his undergraduate degree and then managed the construction activity of numerous large developments from land acquisition to final certificate of occupancy. Steve then helped his organization staff these developments while simultaneously attending The University of Rochester, Simon School of Business where he earned his Masters degree in Business Administration. Steve managed the construction of all Legacy communities and remains an integral part of new acquisitions, development and operations of The Legacy Communities as we know them today. With close communication from his father Anthony DiMarzo, founder and his brother Chris in charge of new development approvals and a phenomenally dedicated and well versed staff within each Legacy Community, The Legacy Communities are positioned for success.
Paula brings decades of management and human resources expertise to her role as Director of Operations. She is responsible for day-to-day operations of Legacy’s portfolio of eight senior living communities, including business development, recruiting, resident amenities, activities and services, dining, accounting, safety/security, and maintenance. She supports the Legacy Executive Directors by giving them the tools they need to help our residents Live Very Well. Through her involvement in recruiting, Legacy has built a team of caring and kind individuals who are dedicated to serving seniors. Paula joined the Legacy team over 15 years ago. She was Director of Human Resources for 12 years and involved in the final stages of construction and initial opening of all of the Legacy communities. In addition, from 2000 to 2002 she was Assistant Executive Director of Legacy at Willow Pond. Paula is passionate about working with seniors and making the lives of seniors better. She attended Nazareth College and lives in Fairport, NY.
Victoria Tomporowski was promoted to Executive Director of the Legacy at Clover Blossom after her success as Executive Director of Legacy at Parklands. A graduate of Niagara University, Victoria received a Bachelor of Science in Tourism and Recreation Management, a degree program designed to provide students with a readiness and competency for employment in diverse settings, including retirement communities. Victoria also has a concentration in Marketing and Special Event Management.
Victoria came to The Legacy with multiple years of experience in various roles in independent and enriched senior living communities as well as a skilled nursing home. Victoria truly enjoys working with seniors and has a passion for helping older adults continue to lead active and enriched lives.
As Executive Director of Legacy at Parklands in Churchville/Chili, Lori Smith brings with her over twenty years of senior living management experience. Prior to coming to The Legacy, Lori was Vice President of Operations for a Monroe and Ontario County-wide senior home care consulting firm. She is passionate about making a difference in the lives of her residents and her Legacy team, and she is most fulfilled when she is truly connecting with seniors and their families. Lori studied Business at Cornell University and continues to expand her knowledge with continuing education in management, marketing, and sales. When she is not serving seniors, Lori enjoys spending time with her 2 children and her wonderful husband, Bruce. Lori’s hobbies include skydiving, hiking, and travel.
Elizabeth M. Richardson is the Executive Director of Legacy at Maiden Park in Greece, NY. Liz began her Legacy career as the Executive Director of Legacy at Willow Pond. She was then promoted to Executive Director of Legacy at Clover Blossom in 2013. In 2016 she was tapped to be the Executive Director of Legacy at Maiden Park. Elizabeth brings The Legacy’s “Living Very Well” mantra to life with years of experience creating a caring and welcoming environment where Legacy residents flourish. Throughout the years she has also played a major behind the scenes role in advertising and marketing for The Legacy brand as a whole. Elizabeth is a 1985 graduate of the State University of New York College at New Paltz were she earned a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Political Science.
Elaine Matthews is the Executive Director of Legacy Park Crescent in Greece. Elaine joined the Legacy team in July of 2011 and hit the ground running. Prior to becoming part of the Legacy family, Elaine was the Director for Services for Seniors in Rochester for 10 years. A 1991 graduate of The City University of New York, John Jay College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and in 2010 a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Elaine is able to not only crunch the numbers but communicate effectively, efficiently and succinctly.
Paul J. Ryan is a staunch advocate for seniors. An Executive Director with Legacy since 2009, he embarked on this career change in 2004. Prior to that Paul served the Diocese of Rochester in creative ministries for 34 years. During his career, Paul worked in parish ministry throughout the Catholic diocese. He was a teacher/chaplain at Keuka, Elmira, and Wells Colleges. He also helped to develop the group home concept with the New York State office for the developmentally challenged. Fluent in Spanish, Paul served the Latin and South American Missions, working with indigenous people in Mexico, Chile and Brazil. In Mexico he directed the creation of self-sustaining coops, allowing the people to develop their own small businesses. Paul received his BA degree from St. John Fisher, and his M.Div. from St. Bernard’s Seminary. Paul is a nationally recognized actor/model. He is also a master scuba diver trainer and published author.
With many years experience in senior living and an extensive background in the gerontology field and social work, Jennifer LaFountain oversees day-to-day operations and capably leads the team as Executive DIrector of Legacy at Cranberry Landing. In 2015 she successfully oversaw Cranberry Landing’s transformation from Independent Living to a Continuum of Care community offering Assisted Living, Enhanced Assisted Living, and Memory Care in addition to Independent Living. Jennifer’s hard work, dedication and undying spirit have been a welcome addition to the Legacy Family.
As Administrator of Grande’Vie, Bridget Keenan is dedicated to providing superb service and a vibrant, warm, and welcoming community for Grande’Vie’s residents and their families. Over 15 years ago, with a great love for seniors and a passion for enriching their lives, Bridget began her career as a Resident Care Aide and was promoted to various supervisory roles at Grande’Vie over the ensuing years. In 2007 she returned to school to obtain her LPN license while working full time as Grande’Vie’s Caring House Memory Care Community Coordinator. After graduating with academic honors, Bridget continued her career at Grande’Vie as a nurse and deepened her knowledge and experience in Assisted Living, Enhanced Assisted Living, and Memory Care. In 2012, Bridget was once again promoted and became Director of Case Management and Resident Care. By 2015 she was tapped to take on the role of Administrator and now leads the Grande’Vie team and directs day-to-day operations.
Bridget is a proud wife and mother of three boys. Following in her footsteps, her oldest son is pursuing his nursing degree—creating three generations of nurses within her family.
Linda Salatino thrives on serving the residents of Legacy at Village Wood as Executive Director. Prior to Legacy, Linda worked for Birdseye Foods Public Relations while raising her two daughters. She then began traveling across the country with a foundation ministry encouraging women to overcome obstacles and challenges in their lives. This outreach program gave Linda the opportunity to travel outside of the United States, as well. She has a great passion for music which keeps her involved in various activities outside of work. Linda finds interacting with seniors to be very rewarding and works diligently to see that her residents are living well and staying active.
Anna joined The Legacy Senior Communities in 2007 as Executive Director of the Legacy at The Fairways. Anna holds a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, and has more than 17 years experience in the hospitality and senior living development, management, and marketing. Before joining Legacy Senior Communities, Anna was recruited by Thompson Health systems to be part of the pre-opening team of their premier Senior Living Community, where she developed and managed the Resident Services, Transportation, and Lifestyle Programs for that new community. Anna developed many Marketing events, and was an integral member of the Marketing Team. In 2005, Anna was elected as a member of the Task Force for Greystone Senior Living Communities where she led Senior Communities across the United States to improve Lifestyle Programs and develop Health and Wellness initiatives to promote Healthy Aging. Anna is also a Certified Aging Service Professional through the Collation for Leadership on Aging Services which she achieved in 2012.
